The Do It Yourself Detective
So You Want Someone Spied On
So, here we are at the point where you think you want someone watched. There are a few things you should think about before you jump right into this.
First of all, do you really want to know? About ninety per cent of my clients already know what is going on when they come to me with their problem. I get paid to verify and fill in the blanks as well as create the official documentation of the behavior.
I always ask prospective clients the do you really want to know question and believe it or not, some say they really don't. After giving it some thought, some decide that maybe it will go away and they can fix whatever the problem is and get on with their life.
I make no judgments, it does not matter to me. I do know, however, that if I saw my spouse sneaking around with someone, I might not be able to make it all better and live happily ever after. Fortunately for me, my spouse is a private investigator also and when she is sneaking around anywhere it's with me.
You need to ask whether it's worth the risk of being caught at spying. Some people become very upset at the notion of their privacy being invaded, even if they're being private with your other half.
So you've decided. You really do suspect something is going on. You really do want to confirm that it is and with whom. Yes it is worth the risk of doing the surveillance yourself and so you want to learn a little bit about how to go about it.
Hopefully, we can help answer a few questions about how to watch someone, keep from getting burned, avoid dangerous situations and most importantly, help you decide when to seek to help of a professional.
