Locate Someone
That Person At The Bar!

What if you don't know anything about the person except you met them in a bar one night about two years ago and want to hook up again now that you are single. Get serious you say? I got this call at my office not long ago and the person on the other end of the phone line was absolutely serious.
Did I laugh and recommend getting a life? No, I asked a few questions.
Was a name ever mentioned?   Yes, but only a first name.
Was this person alone or with friends? Alone.
Did anyone around at the time seem to know this person?  No.
Did this person say they lived in the area of the bar or not? Yes. They said they lived close by.
Now you have your first two clues. Now you have a name and the possibility of them being in the area.
Did this person say what they did for a living? Yes, construction.
Another piece of the puzzle. More information for your checklist.
Did this person have a car? Did you go anywhere with this person? There was no car but a friend of mine gave them a ride home and I rode along.
This information could actually be a case breaker.
Have you ever seen this person again at the place where you first met? No.
Did you exchange phone numbers? Neither of us had a telephone at the time.
Have you gone back to the house to look for this person? No.

Basic DIY Tools
My advice to the caller was to travel to the home of the mystery person and ask if they still live there, if they do, then they have what they want. If not, someone still living there might know where this person is. If the next address is not the final solution to the problem, then keep asking and keep following leads. The caller thanked me and went on about their business.
The very next day my caller called back to say that the mystery person had been
located. The first address had produced a roommate who thought they knew where the mystery person had moved to. A name, address and phone number was provided and the next call turned up the missing individual. All in less than two hours.
Not all searches are this easy or fast to solve, but this one does demonstrate how with as little information as was provided at the beginning, with some persistence and some digging the case can be solved.
The point of this demonstration is that what was seemingly an impossible locate case, became a solved mystery. This mystery was actually solved by an average citizen who started off with less information than is provided in this website and they succeeded.
